Matouš Lipus
Sochař. Vystudoval pražskou Vysokou školu uměleckoprůmyslovou v Praze v ateliéru sochy pod vedení Kurta Gebauera a poté Dominika Langa a Edith Jeřábkové. Jeho tvůrčí práce má těžiště v historických, figurálních vzorech - od románských a gotických příkladů po sociální civilismus v moderním sochařství poloviny dvacátého století. Zajímá se o současné projevy sochařského umění ve vztahu k veřejnému prostoru a možnosti kontextuálního zapojení sochy do nově vznikající architektury a přírodních celků. V posledních letech charakterizují jeho práci také environmentální sochařské přesahy související s tématem klimatické krize a snahou o udržitelnost přírodních zdrojů, kterým se intenzivně věnuje a zapojuje do své tvorby. Je autorem řady sochařských realizací, samostatných i kolektivních, a to v ČR i v zahraničí.
Pro projekt autor vytvořil dvoustranný mini-kapesní reliéf s vyobrazením výsadby a vzrostlého ovocného stromu. Jde o referenční motiv připomínající archaická vyobrazení biblických postav - snad Adama a Evy, který odkazuje na antropocentrické uvažování člověka v současné civilizaci, jež přivedlo planetu Zemi a ekosystém až na okraj ekologické katastrofy a klimatického kolapsu. Současně upozorňuje na fakt, že paradoxně je to opět člověk, který prostřednictvím radikální proměny svého uvažování a změnou svého individuálního způsobu života, může pozitivně ovlivnit přicházející nevratné změny, které způsobil, a zasadit se tak o zachování rozmanitých forem života.
Sculptor. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, in the Sculpture Department under the supervision of Kurt Gebauer and then Dominik Lang and Edith Jeřábková. Historical, figurative patterns lie at the heart of his artwork – from Romanesque and Gothic examples through social civilism in modern sculpture in the mid 20th century. He is interested in the current expressions of sculptural art related to the public space and the possibility of contextual incorporation of a statue into recently created architecture and natural complexes. He has recently characterised his work also as environmental sculptural overhangs related to the topic of climate crisis and to the attempt at sustainability of natural resources that he is intensively dedicated and connects them to his creation. He is the artist of a range of sculptural works, individual and collective, namely in the CR and abroad.
The artist created for the project a double-‑sided mini-‑pocket relief with a depiction of planting and of a mature fruit tree. It is a referential motif bringing to mind archaic depictions of biblical figures – perhaps Adam and Eve, and it stands for the anthropocentric thinking of man in contemporary civilisation, which has brought planet Earth and the ecosystem to the brink of ecological catastrophe and climate collapse. Currently, he draws attention to the fact that, paradoxically, it is again humans who, through a radical change in their thinking and a change in their individual way of life, can positively influence the coming irreversible changes that they have caused, and thus advocate for the preservation of diverse forms of life.
